Today we found out we are having a baby. It wasn't a surprise, we have been trying since June, but I think it is always a surprise, even when you are trying. I wanted a baby so badly but when I saw that positive test today, it became really real and I have to admit I am a bit nervous.
Ian was in the middle of working out and I walked in and said, "I'm pregnant" and he paused for a moment and then looked really excited, hugged me and said, "Alright, what do we do now?" It was a funny moment, not like you picture it but wonderful in its own way.
We hung lights, ornaments and tinsel on our tree tonight and it was strange. You wait so long and then when it happens it is kind of odd, you start to feel different even though you just found out and felt normal a second before. Last night, I taught yoga at school and did all these crazy moves with an exercise ball so I hope that I didn't overdo anything.
We decided to wait until Christmas to tell anyone.
