Today Lemon and I woke up late, around 7:30, and by 8:30 we were off to the zoo.
Morning singing:
We were nervous on how she would do with skipping a nap and she did pretty well, although she did throw a huge fit when we got there, again with not wanting to wear her sunglasses, and that tired her out. By 1pm, after lunch, we both weren't really feeling it anymore (me PMS, ha TMI) and she was saying "go bye bye" and "sleepy" so we decided to head back and nap since the zoo is open until 9pm.

Loving the rocks and plants:
We thought for sure Lemon would sleep an hour, since she didn't get in bed until 1:30, but she slept until 4:30, are a really late lunch (she didn't eat at the zoo) and by the time we got back to the zoo it was 6:30!
We tried out the petting zoo, thinking it would be better than the Phoenix Zoo's (that has just goats) but it was so late all of the other animals were away and only goats were left - so lame. We rushed and hopped on a tour bus to see the rest of the zoo, since it was already 7 (and we spent $100 to go!) and had a great time. We rode on the top, Lemon got to see a baby giraffe and a hippo getting in the water (and kept asking "where did the hippo go" over and over) and loved riding on the top. We ended up leaving around 8 and she just got into bed at 9:30, a super late night.
Aside from her fit this morning, that was less about sunglasses, and more about bring somewhere new, she was a really good girl. She loved the elephants, loved the rhino and danced to music before we left. She also got a flashlight and shined it all the way home, it is her favorite.
I can't believe tomorrow is her birthday, it has come way too fast. She has no idea what is going on, and we have to pack up and move to the hotel tomorrow, but I'm going to try to kiss and snuggle her as much as possible. She is just so much fun lately and can we take a moment to talk about her hair here, in beach weather? Curls for days, it's ridiculous and I love it.
Watching True Blood then we are off to bed! Nighty night!
Her hairrrr it's so beautiful! I love that large elephant statue so much haha. I can't wait to take my daughter to the zoo now :)
