Yesterday was crazy. We got a nail in our tire so Ian spent the morning at a tire shop trying to get it fixed and it ended up costing $125, ugh. Lemon was totally bored at the house while I tried to clean and pack and kept handing me her shoes, or mine, and saying "go bye bye."
Lemon and I slept in, which was lovely, and then I decided she needed a bath, and hair washing, because we were moving to the hotel (and would only have a shower). Lemon's hair is so awesome here but man does it turn into dreads because of the humidity (and sand/salt water).
We took the cutest video of getting Lemon out of bed singing Happy Birthday but when I looked back on my phone it wasn't there, I know I hit record! Ugh it was so cute because she dropped her head, batted her eyes and then when we asked how old she was she whispered "two." I'm so sad about it!! :(
I had to comb out Lemon's hair and you'd think she was dying, she screamed and cried the whole time. I took a shower and washed my hair too, while I let her mope with the iPod and then we got even more bored so went for a walk.
Lemon ended up eating a dandelion on our walk and I had to carry her home while she said yucky and cried. I was exhausted and so was she so I put her down for a nap. While we slept, Ian decided that she needed a birthday cake on her birthday so he made her a gluten free lemon cake. I couldn't sleep so we finished packing up and when she woke up, after lunch, we sang to her and gave her the cake. She didn't eat a single bite, wanted nothing to do with it.

We loved having my step-brother's house but there was no air conditioning so we were ready to be somewhere with air. We also couldn't wait to get to the island where the beach is only a short drive away! We left during traffic time, oops, and arrived about 5pm, just in time to get unpacked, walk to the mini beach on the harbor side and then make dinner.
We hung with friends that we met here last year, while Lemon slept, and that was fun but I don't think I went to bed until 12am!
It was a busy, kind of stressful, day and Lemon was out of sorts because of the move. She didn't fall asleep until 9pm last night and was up super early at 6:30am today - ugh. I think she may be over being away from home but I'm not!!
Let's hope this posts a day late and not two days late. I can't get the wifi to work, even at the hotel, and I'm about over this Blogger app thing from my phone! (It posted 3 days later but I changed the date/time when I got home!)
To my beautiful Lemon, you're everything I dreamed of, and everything I ever wanted. I love you more than anything, you are my best friend. I never thought love could be like this until I laid my eyes on you. I hope you know just how much we love you. Happy birthday sweet girl. :)
